Welcome to our North Shore Stake Women’s Institute Class! We meet every week on Tuesday at 10 am at the Whetstone Cove Building to hear an inspiring and uplifting lesson about women in the scriptures. Women leaders in our own stake serve as teachers and all are welcome. Come as you are! We love feeling the strength that comes from sharing our spiritual discoveries with other sisters while gathering in everyone who needs more gospel power in their lives. This is a chance for you to invest in your own personal growth--you give so much to everyone around you. Take this hour to build your individual source of power by tuning in to the messages of Jesus Christ.

Lesson 19: Sariah
This week, we studied Sariah from the Book of Mormon. Sariah is a beautiful example of putting her trust in God as she was asked to leave a life of comfort and travel in the wilderness. While in the wilderness, she came to know with a "surety" God's love for her and to rely on his power as she worried over her family and endured the challenges of the wilderness. What an amazing example of faith for us in the "wilderness" of life.

Wednesday Feb 11, 2026
Wednesday Feb 11, 2026
This week, we learn about the life of Tabitha, a brave and caring woman who lived near Jerusalem during the ministry of Jesus’ apostles. Hers is a story of Tabitha’s legacy of service to others. The apostle Peter was asked by Tabitha’s friends to restore her to life after her untimely death. Peter did so through the power of God. This miracle recognized Tabitha for her legacy of service and also served to convert many Jews to Christianity. We learn about the power of a group of women to advocate for one another. We learn that Jesus cared about Tabitha individually. We learn about the ability of women to serve others in a Christlike way which inspires friendship and love. And finally we learn how to draw on the power of God to serve others in meaningful ways.
